First Week.

As we have reined in 2019, I have spent most of my year huddled beneath blankets and duvets. Since New Years Eve I have been sick.

It is not the worse thing in the world and instead of dwelling, I am using the time to binge-watch Netflix and try to feel better. Not the most productive way to spend my time, but it is literally the most I can do right now. If it is not cleared by Monday, I will be making a doctors appointment to see if I can find out what is wrong.

With this down time I have been thinking lots about my book. It was neglected last year due to many reasons, but it is still there, asking me to bring life to it and I cannot ignore those requests. This year my goal is to put more time, effort and passion into bringing the book to life and even in my weakened condition, I am excited about it.

I have been vague about up until now about anything to do with the story I have conjured up, in all honestly I am afraid it will be bad before it is even finished. I realise that is not the kind of confidence one should have and so I am prepared to be more open and share with you what I am writing and why I am writing it.

It would be a dream to have this story written from start to finish. It means so much to me (for reasons you will know in time) and I truly feel like the story needs to be told. Even if it is to just help me. If others like it, that is a bonus.

I know it is cliche to begin again at the start of a new year, but here we are, so I may as well try and for my own sake I will try my best to try my best.

I realise that the only person holding me back now is me, so time for a swift kick and give some life to my story and maybe along the way, myself as well.

Changes are still going to be made to this blog over the coming weeks, including the name, but unfortunately I have not had the energy to even think about it yet.

I hope your year has started in a truly magnificent way and if not yet, do not give up, it can still happen.

Until next time, have a lovely weekend.

I’m in the same boat as you as far as writing goes. I’ve been meaning to get something underway and, for all of last year it went undone. The first couple of chapters have written themselves now, pretty much. And feedback has been wonderful.

I hope your writing goes well!

How goes the blog name change?

Painful’ but a learning experience at the same time.. I was adjusting to prozac in a group home, so my mind was running a million a minute. I wrote my first, and horrible, book in three days. You’ll find your way. Everyone is different.

The VA has helped me a lot. I just have to be careful when I first take prozac because it makes me aggressive and maniac for about two weeks. I take it now and am fine. I wish you luck with you efforts. Remember to write for yourself first. Don’t let the critics burn your flame up.
